January Saints: St. Angela Merici

Did you know that the first teachers of religious education at Our Lady of the Snow were Ursuline Sisters who lived at the Ursuline Center, (that is now becoming the new Bayport-Blue Point Library)? The Ursuline Order of Nuns was established by St. Angela Merici. These women dedicated their lives to God and educating others. A picture of the Saint hangs in the Faith Formation Office at Our Lady of the Snow. Formerly it hung in the Ursuline Center. Learn more about the life of St. Angela Merici and how she inspired many women to devote their lives to God and service.
