Session 3: Jesus' Love for Creation

Jesus lives in a loving manner with all of creation. He is a model kindness and sharing. For example, in

the parable of the rich fool, Jesus shows the importance of sharing the goods of the earth.

Let’s take a look:

Read Luke 12:13-21

Think about the following questions:

What is the message of Jesus’ parable about The Rich Fool? What can we do to become

more generous? How can we be generous with the things we use each day? What is recycling? Why is

recycling good for creation?

In the video below, the narrator uses a famous painting: Rembrandt's "The Rich Fool," to reflect on the

parable.  The Parable of the Rich Fool, also known as The Money Changer, is an oil painting on canvas from 1627 by Rembrandt. It is kept in a museum in Berlin.
